Design and analysis of thermo-mechanical systems for electrochemical components, assemblies, and prototypes. This job also includes the development of test systems, testing, and data analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved. Work closely within the company to ensure hardware is designed according to good engineering practices, documented, and is fabricated ensuring it is available for project goals and schedules. Design of Mechanical components and systems for high temperature applications and for the manufacturing processes. Perform and document Finite element Analyses for thermo-mechanical systems. This includes coupled thermal and stress modeling of thermal transients, thermal gradients within assemblies, and creep behavior at high temperatures. This also includes the behavior of metals, ceramics, glasses, and insulating materials. Represent OxEon in discussions with clients and customers regarding mechanical designs and systems, debriefing them on the progress of mechanical tasks and design issues. Facilitate a holistic understanding and execution of the scope and plan for projects. Define clear goals for all mechanical aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution. Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges. Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team. Assist the technical team in the design, acquisition, fabrication, and testing of mechanical components and systems. Work alongside project management to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives. Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration.
Minimum experience as a Structural Engineer of 5 years.
Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards.
Project development and leadership skills are essential.
Professional work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed structures.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems.
Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture.
Advanced understanding of build materials, techniques, and processes.
Up to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Must be able to frequently be lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. with help, although not on a daily basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights.
