Interplanetary First!: Utah company’s device extracts oxygen on Mars

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – “To boldly go, where no one has gone before.” Millions of people have heard those words for generations. Now NASA’s M.O.X.I.E. experiment on Mars has made the famous words even more real.

For the first time in human history, oxygen has been extracted on another planet. Utah’s OxEon Energy created the device that makes the process work. A mini-factory that converts carbon dioxide on Mars into oxygen. They call it Soxe.

5 KW Stack Started in Idaho

A nominal five (5) kilowatt high temperature solid oxide electrolysis stack that was designed and fabricated by OxEon was successfully started at a customer location in Idaho. The stack performance exceeded the expected performance by >10%.

Calvert Energy Group and OxEon Energy enter strategic license agreement

OxEon Energy LLC and Calvert Energy Group have completed negotiations and signed a strategic license agreement giving Calvert exclusive market rights to OxEon Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) technology in geographic areas that include Russia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America/Mexico.

OxEon Energy has received a contract from Midrex

OxEon Energy has received a contract from Midrex (purchasing agent for Kobe Steel in the United States) for multiple units of its non-thermal plasma oxidizer. The oxidizer technology was jointly developed by OxEon and Kobe personnel.
